eurecomEurecom is a dynamic graduate school and research centre in communications systems. It was founded in 1991 by TELECOM ParisTech (Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications, Paris, France) and EPFL (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology). It is administered by a Consortium and has partnerships with several academic institutions and industrials. Academic Partners are French schools that are part of the Telecommunications Schools Group, the Swiss Federal Institutes, and European Universities (Politecnico di Torino in Italy, Helsinki University of Technology TKK in Finland, Technische Universität Munchen in Germany and Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Norway). The current industrial members of the Consortium are: Swisscom, THALES, SFR, ORANGE, STEricsson, SHARP, CISCO Systems, BMW Group Research and Technology, Symantec and Monaco Telecom, plus an industrial adjunct Partner: SAP. EURECOM is particularly active in research in its areas of excellence while also training a large number of doctoral candidates. Its contractual research is recognised across Europe and contributes largely to its budget. The areas of interest are: Networking and Security; Multimedia Communications; Mobile Communications; Systems on Chip; ICT Uses.
